it felt so good to be in a place where your fond memories used to be,

somewhere in this world where you're in your comfort zone.

went back to bukit batok today, my previous residence.

things have changed tremendously.

the shops that i used to patronize, the familiar smiles on the shopkeepers...

they're all gone.

a few things that remains: the dispensary i used to frequent when ill, the hokkien mee stall, the joss-sticks shop where my mum gets her prayer stuff, the auntie in the toddler's essentials shop.

cant remember how long it's been since the last time i was there.

bt it doesnt seem all that long cos i'm still able to steer my way through quite well.

ahh, it only made me feel how much i've aged [LOL i sound so old]

just as i was talking about the past, bryan talked abt orientation!

oh yes, it's sec 1 orientation tday.

i cant really rmb the activities we went through when we're sec 1, but it's far more daring, i shld say, than the recent years ones.

like the mass games tt we had, it was OMG.

but i must say that the night activity they had for orientation last year was pretty well-planned.

the decor and the manpower, it was pretty good.

& the most classic part was when john low shouted at the sec 1s. lol.

in any way, its not really whether its fun or not, just whether its achieving the aim of bonding the sec 1s and breaking the 'ice' between them. 

for mine. perhaps it did! :D

& i rmb last year when we're part of the facilitators. haha. chioNg for chem test in the middle of the night. and their pt in the morning when yishuo did the funny actions.

i wonder what they're doing for oc now.. haha. those times..
